The Presidents Club of Vandalia-Butler has announced the name of MARY ELLEN
CASE as the recipient of the 2011 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD. This award
is given annually for community service .

. YOU are invited to attend the 27th annual Distinguished Service Award Banquet to be
held on Tuesday, January 31 at Celebrations II Banquet Center at 7615 Poe Avenue (937-
264-1900). Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:15 p.m. Cost is $25 per
person.

YOU are encouraged to attend to recognize MARY ELLEN CASE for decades of service
to our Vandalia-Butler community. Some of her areas of service have been: school
PTA, Director of former Vandalia YWCA, charter/active member of Green Acres
Garden Club, various areas of service to VUMC, Sister Cities of Vandalia including
preparing a cookbook with recipes both in English and German, host of AFS exchange
students, genealogy research including authoring a 300+ page book on her family's
genealogy, being a charter/founding member of the Historical Society of Vandalia Butler
with much success in organizing house/garden tours as a fundraiser for 17 years with
over 204 tours.
